The Buffalo Audubon Society will hold beginner birding: gulls and waterfowl from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday Dec. 9 starting at the Unity Island North parking lot, 1170 Niagara St., Buffalo.
Participants will join Buffalo Audubon Naturalist Tom Kerr for a beginner birding walk on Buffalo’s Unity Island. Ducks and gulls are arriving by the hundreds in the Niagara River, and can be easy for beginner birders to start with. The group will go over identification tips, how to use a field guide and how to use binoculars. Binoculars will be available.
