Dan Jordan, local professional photographer and bald eagle authority, will give a presentation on “The Bald Eagle, Our National Bird,” from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 28 in the Sister Margaret Carney Lecture Hall in the Olean Business Development Building at 301 North Union St., Olean. This program is organized by the Pfeiffer Nature Center.
Jordan had a regular column in the Olean Times Herald in 2020 called “The Eagle Whisperer” where he shared his knowledge of eagles and some of his photography. He will share some of his favorite photos from his collection of more than 100,000 photos of bald eagle, most from Western New York and northwest Pennsylvania. Prints and canvasses will be available for purchase.
This program is free. Donations are gratefully accepted. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
