Audubon Center & Sanctuary
A Nature Tangles class will be held from 1 – 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, at the Audubon Nature Center, 1600 Riverside Rd., Jamestown.
Let art teacher Sue Yauchzy lead you through a process to release your creativity in a fun, bold way.
The group will take a walk outside looking for shapes, lines, patterns and textures. Inside, you will transform what you saw into interesting abstract designs on paper and other surfaces. This meditative technique, based on practices developed in the ZenTangle™ program, not only creates beautiful results, but also serves to calm your mind and body.
Class size is limited. The cost is $38 for the public or $30 for Friends of the Nature Center and children ages 9-15. It includes all materials, which you will take home so you can continue practicing your new skills.
Remember to dress for the weather and consider insect repellent. If you have a camera or phone that takes pictures, bring it along to take snapshots of textures, patterns and lines during the outdoor portion of the program.
