Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper will hold a cleanup event from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4 at Hyde Park, 3200 Pine Ave., Niagara Falls.
To prepared for for fall plantings along the living shoreline at the park, volunteers are needed to help clean the area of fallen trees, mulch the existing pathway, control invasive species, and care for existing tree plantings. This work is critical to maintaining the health of the shoreline, which provides valuable habitat for native bird, plant, and insect species, and helps keep Hyde Park Lake healthy and stable.
Meet near the Rose Garden at Hyde Park in Niagara Falls at around 5:45 p.m. Please consider arriving early in order to find parking and locate the group.
