Audubon Offering Workshop in Beginning Watercolors
The Jamestown Audubon Center & Sanctuary is offering a workshop in beginning watercolors from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, November 30 at the center, 1600 Riverside Road, one-quarter mile east of Route 62 between Jamestown, New York, and Warren, Pennsylvania.
With instruction from distinguished artist Christine French, participants will create two fall landscape watercolor paintings that are ready to frame. Participants can bring their own images of fall scenes or use ones that will be available. Professional watercolor paper and paints will be provided.
This class is suitable for teenagers and adults: no experience is necessary.
Class size is limited to 20 people with a minimum of 10 needed. The fee of $67 or $59 for Friends of the Nature Center includes all materials. Audubon will provide coffee and tea for BYO lunch.

A retired art teacher from Ohio, Christine French has taught art classes at the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Cleveland Institute of Art, Erie Art Museum, Cuyahoga Community College, Art House, and Notre Dame College. She holds a BFA, MA, and MFA from Kent State University and Graduate School. French is a producing artist who has been recognized by the Women’s Pen and Brush in New York City, HGTV’s Crafters Coast to Coast, and Fiber Arts Magazine. She has been an artist resident in Poland, Hungary, Greece, the Big Island of Hawaii, and the Art Institute of Chicago’s Oxbow.
