The 2014 Communities in Bloom Spring Gardening Class,  a one-day seminar on various gardening topics, will be held  9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Saturday, April 12 at the Parkside Lodge in Delaware Park, 84 Parkside Ave., Buffalo. The seminar is presented by Cornell Cooperative Extension Erie County Master Gardeners in cooperation with Buffalo in Bloom.

Seminar topics include:

  • Perennials
  • Annuals
  • Seed starting
  • Soils
  • Fertilizers
  • Organic gardening
  • Disease and pest prevention (IPM)
  • Growing vegetables
  • Pruning

Cost $20. Please bring a bagged lunch and drink, plus pen and paper for note taking. Seating is limited. Pre-registration is required. No walk-ins please! Register online by Friday, April 4 (firm) in order to ensure your seat.

The same seminar will be held again from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 3 in the Demonstration Room at the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Erie County office, 21 South Grove St., East Aurora.
