In September, some members of the WNY Rose Society participated in the New York State District Convention of the American Rose Society in Binghamton. It was hosted by the Manhattan Rose Society & the Long Island Rose Society.

Members of the WNY Rose Society won the following top awards:

Steve Styn – Outstanding Consulting Rosarian for the New York State District

Steve Styn – Best Rose in Show for all Rose Horticulture, Queen of Show, best Old Rose (Dowager Queen)

Eileen Koteras Elibol – First Place (Queen) in all Rose Photography, blue ribbons in “Horticulture” and “Macro” photography categories

Lori Schonrank – Best Novice in Rose Horticulture

Jane Knoeck – Outstanding Horticulture Judge for the NY District, Artist Award in Rose Arrangements

Jim Styn – blue ribbon in a “Photo from Your Garden” category
