Sign up for MG Ed Day in Amherst

Master Gardener Education Day will be held by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Erie County from 8:30 am to 3 pm Saturday, March 8 at Classics V Banquet Center, 2425 Niagara Falls Blvd, Amherst.

The program will feature two outstanding speakers: 

  • Kim Eierman is an author, teacher, ecological landscape designer, and environmental horticulturalist, specializing in native plants. She will give two presentations: “Beyond Sustainability: Using Our Landscapes as a Source of Environmental Change” and “Creating A Succession Bloom in the Native Garden.” Eierman is the founder of Ecobeneficial LLC
  • Margaret Lapp, director and curator of the South Park Arboretum at Buffalo Olmstead Parks Conservancy, will speak on “Purposeful Plant Selection for Sustainable Gardening Solutions.” 

Space is limited. Advance registration is required; registration ends March 5. Register here. Registration is not complete until payment has been received. The registration fee is non-refundable.

The cost is $60 for the public and $55 for Master Gardener Volunteers from other counties. Lunch is included.
