Seeking Apricity

The Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens is hosting a new exhibition by Elizabeth Gatto. This exhibition is a collective of works meant to warm the soul. When the sun hits your skin on a winter’s day, you are flooded with memories of June, July, and August. For just a moment we stir from our hibernation. Many of the pieces in this collection were created in the coldest of months, when the sun was hard to find.
Elizabeth Gatto uses her work to speak to those little glimpses of life that flash in our mind when reminded of brighter days ahead. Through a rose colored lens, themes of rebirth and awakening are explored. Vibrant hues and loose lines imitate nature’s spectacle as it begins to come alive again.
The exhibition runs through April 23 and is included in the price of admission. Reservations are strongly suggested.
