Master Your Garden Educational Series
Join Master Gardener volunteers at 10 am on the first Saturday of each month as they teach about various gardening topics. All classes will be held in the Education Center at Orleans County Cooperative Extension.

August 3: Pathways of Invasion into Your Garden – Rachel Taylor, WNY PRISM. Protecting our lands and waters starts in our own backyard, so let’s explore how invasive species spread into (and out of) your garden, and what you can do about it! We’ll look at examples such as spotted lanternfly, water hyacinth, jumping worms and more.
September 7: Beautiful, Beneficial Bats – Michael Klepp, Nature Teacher. Learn how these mosquito-munching, mango-making, magnificent manure-producing friends help you and your gardens.
October 5: Creating Resilient Landscapes – MG Jena Buckwell. An exploration into how we can create landscapes that are designed to take on the challenges of the future and help us thrive as gardeners for years to come.
November 2: Meet Your Mulch (Encore Presentation) – MG Jena Buckwell. Selecting the best mulch for your garden, detailing various mulch options available to help every home gardener create the robust, affordable, and environmentally friendly landscape they deserve.
