This class in the Catch the Gardening Bug series will be on hostas.
Classes will be held from 6 to 8 pm at the Genesee County Cornell Cooperative Extension, 420 East Main St., Batavia.
Hostas are reliable, low-maintenance perennials that thrive in shade gardens. Hundreds of varieties are available in shades of blue, green and yellow, and they range in size from tiny to giant. Join Master Gardener Brenda Fox as she discusses all things hosta, including how to successfully grow these beauties, design considerations in the garden, the WNY Hosta Society, and trivia including hosta recipes.
The cost is $10 per person, per class. Pre-registration is required as class size is limited. Register by April 16. Stop by the CCE office to pay by cash or check; or fill out the registration form and mail in your check.
