Beekeepers: timing of tasks

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County’s Master Gardener Program announces that Chautauqua County Beekeepers Association (CCBA) will hold their monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8 at the Fluvanna Community Church, 3363 Fluvanna Avenue Jamestown.

August’s topic will focus on seasonal activities, including when and if to harvest honey, looking ahead to winter, when and if to treat for mites, etc. Join seasoned beekeepers as they share tips and best practices to help you be successful.  

Meetings are scheduled for the second Thursday of the month at 7 pm. You do not need to be a beekeeper to join, and all are welcome.
