A Golden Christmas Bird Count

Be a citizen scientist and join one of the many Christmas bird counts that the National Audubon Society will hold.

The Christmas bird counts have been taking place for more than 120 years. The information from these has been used in hundreds of analyses, peer-reviewed publications and government reports over the decades.

A Golden Christmas Bird Count

• Saturday, December 16
• 10 a.m. to noon
• Golden Hill State Park, 2 Golden Hill Park Rd., Somerset, NY 14012

Meet at the boat launch parking lot inside Golden Hill State Park. Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to the start of the program.

Hike to the famous light house while looking for overwintering birds. Bird watchers of all skill level are welcome.

The event is free, but registration is required.
