Raffle & special meals will mark Botanical Gardens’ 120th anniversary

To celebrate its 120th anniversary, the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens will offer a virtual basket raffle and a three-course to-go meal from Wednesday to Friday, Dec. 2-4.

Purchase your raffle tickets and enter to win on the items of your choice. The raffle baskets were carefully selected and put together by their committee and are just as fabulous as always.

Raffle tickets are $3 for one chance and $5 for three chances.

Three-course to-go meals

The three-course meal to-go is from Italian Prime at Salvatore’s. Meals will be ready to re-heat at home.

The menu is:

  • Crisp Green Salad with Salvatore’s House Dressing
  •  Lemon Caper Chicken Breast with Seasonal Veggies and Yukon Potatoes
  •  Italian Cheesecake with Berry Compote
  •  Vegetarian and Gluten Free available upon request

You decide your pick-up date and time. Meal pick-ups will take place at the Botanical Gardens. You will be contacted by a Buffalo Gardens staff member upon purchasing your meal ticket. 

The cost is $35 for the general public and $30 for members.

Make a day of it

Meet up with friends at the Botanical Gardens for a lovely afternoon at the Poinsettia & Railway exhibit, which runs from 10 a.m. 4 p.m. daily through Sunday, Jan. 3. (Exceptions are open 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Dec. 24; closed Friday, Dec. 25, and open 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Dec. 31.)

You could also have a wonderful evening at Gardens After Dark, a brand new exhibit series, and grab your to-go meal on your way home. The first exhibit of the Gardens After Dark series, Magical Poinsettias, will be held on select nights in December. The Botanical Gardens will be filled with colorful and soft lighting to enhance and showcase the plant collection and the beautiful historic landmark that surrounds it. See details here.

Reservations are required for all visitors, including members, due to capacity limitations. Walk-ins may be turned away if capacity is surpassed. As always, masks are required at all times when visiting the Botanical Gardens.
