Marvin Lunenfeld Beautification Grants, which are awarded to groups within the geographic area of Garden Walk Buffalo, have been awarded for 2019. Applications are available for 2020.

2019 grant recipients
The Marvin Lunenfeld Beautification Grants are awarded to block clubs and community groups to help beautify Buffalo through projects such as community gardens, street-side planters, historical garden restoration, street pole banners and annuals for baskets.
The grants are named in honor of Garden Walk Buffalo’s founder, Marvin Lunenfeld. The projects will be highlighted during Garden Walk Buffalo in July.
2019 recipients are:
- Claremont Community Block Club
- Block Association of 16th Street
- Buffalo and Erie County Naval and Military Park
- Linwood Avenue Preservation District
- Chippewa Alliance
- One Symphony Circle
- Mekeda Corporation for People’s Park
- Elmwood Village Association
- Middle Highland Block Club
- Willowlawn Street Block Club
Around $100,000 in micro-grants have been awarded since 2005.

Lunenfeld Grant applications are now available online.

To qualify, your project has to be in the footprint of Garden Walk Buffalo and be able to be seen from the street.

Mark your calendar for Garden Walk Buffalo
Garden Walk Buffalo will be held this year from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, July 25 and 26.
In 2019, more than 400 residences in Buffalo opened their creative urban gardens for an estimated 65,000 visitors from around the U.S., Canada, and abroad.
