During the summer, we spend more time outside, even after the sun goes down. Visitors to Plantasia got ideas for gardens in general and more specifically for viewing them at dusk with this year’s theme, “Cityscapes into the Night.” Garden lighting was a big feature of the displays. Street signs, traffic lights, a fire hydrant and a manhole cover added to the feeling of being in a big city.
Plantasia is the garden and landscape show for Western New York and is held each year by PLANT WNY, the local trade association for green businesses. Plantasia ran this year from March 22 – March 25.
In conjunction with Plantasia, I held a prize drawing for my subscribers– my current subscribers as well as new subscribers. I picked three winners and two got back to me promptly. The third didn’t respond (can you believe it!) so I had to pick a new winner. Please watch your email and respond promptly. It might be you!
In the meantime, I can tell you which businesses won awards for their magnificent displays at Plantasia.
And when you’re looking for gardening businesses, you can check out our Gardening Directory and PLANT WNY’s Find a Professional page.
