Bryce Gossel, horticulture student at Niagara County Community College, has received a scholarship from the WNY Nurserymen’s Association Foundation, which is the foundation of PLANT WNY, the trade association for the professional landscape and nursery trades in our area.
Scholarships are awarded twice a year. The deadline is Nov. 16 to apply for the spring semester.
See the details on the scholarships and the application forms here.
Gossel received George O. Adams and Kenneth E. Isaac Memorial Scholarship, which is named after garden industry leaders through the 1950s and 1960s. Together Adams and Isaac started Buffalo Garden Supply in 1953 and operated it until they sold it and retired in 1965. Isaac was the first Man of the Year recipient of the Western New York State Nursery & Landscape Association, now PLANT WNY. Adams’ family continues to support the scholarship fund each year in memory of the two men.
