  1. Hi Mary Joy, you can plant squash and pumpkin seeds right in the ground. Most varieties of pumpkin seed suggest planting outside 2 to 4 weeks after your average last frost date, and when soil temperature is at least 70°. See information on soil here. You can also buy the BigYellowBag from Lakeside Sod. You can mulch with straw if you like. I hope that helps.

  2. I have dried a variety of squash and pumpkin seeds to grow summer 2021. When should I plant seeds? Can I just put in ground? Planning a raised bed. What soils are best? Should I cover CC with straw if I put seeds right in the ground
